How Wake & Bake was born (with coffee, chaos & cookies)

Hey sweet friend-welcome to the first official post in the Crumb Chronicles. I'm Lyss-baker, mom of four, lover of cookie dough, and the messy apron behind Wake & Bake Bakery.

Wake & Bake started in my tiny kitchen with a dream, a sourdough starter that refused to behave, and way too many cookie experiments gone sideways. I've always loved the science of baking, the comfort of warm bread, and the joy of handing someone a treat that makes them light up.

What began as a few loaves for family and friends, quickly turned into a full-on cottage bakery with an honor system stand, seasonal variety boxes, wholesale buns, and now? A full online shop, blog, and membership club (shoutout to the Crumb Club Crew).
