MY STORY

Hey there! I'm Lyss, the heart behind Wake & Bake Bakery-my cozy cottage bakery based in Delaware, Ohio. What started as a simple love for baking quickly turned into a full-blown passion when I created my very first sourdough starter. From that moment on, I was hooked. I dove headfirst into the world of naturally leavened bread, gourmet cookies, pastries, and custom sweets-and I haven't looked back since.

As a proud momma of four and a fiancée, life is beautifully full, and so is my kitchen. I pour love into every batch using only the finest ingredients-think rich chocolate, quality vanilla, and farm fresh eggs sourced right from our community. Every recipe is developed with intention, flavor, and a little bit of flair.

 

Wake & Bake is all about crafting small-batch bakes with big heart-whether it's chewy sourdough loaves, flaky pastries, dreamy macarons, or over-the-top deep-dish cookies. While I'm focused on perfecting each bake, I'm also building toward hosting classes, events, and sharing more behind-the-scenes stories on the blog.
